I'm a behavioural ecophysiologist (if that narrows things down), interested in coping styles i.e. how do animals respond to challenge through physiological stress axes and behaviour? I focus mainly on marine organisms, particularly those on the intertidal since they are easy to see/find and exist on a very interesting environmental gradient. I also have a huge interest in general marine ecology and behavioural interactions between and within species.
Kit Maskrey
Daniel completed his MSc in 2016 and is now studying for a PhD by combining behavioural and molecular techniques to understand how populations of marine invertebrates and, in turn, other marine species, will cope with climate change. He uses differences in behavioural and physiological responses to environmental stressors, such as temperature changes or rising carbon dioxide levels, to address this.
